What to Expect with Telehealth Appointments
Once I approve your appointment, you will receive the email mentioned above. All paperwork needs to be completed online via our client portal prior to our appointment. This email will also have the link to join our session. If you plan on using your laptop you do not have to download anything, simply click the link. If you use a smartphone or tablet, you will need to download the free SimplePractice app. I will provide detailed instructions as part of your intake package. After you make an appointment request please remember to check your email for all of this vital information.
You will also need an internet connection that is at least 0.35 mbps. For optimal results, a reliable, high-speed internet connection with a bandwidth of at least 10-15 mbps will minimize connection issues and provide the best quality.

- Find a quiet private place to have the call. It is imperative that you are comfortable and feel free to talk.
- Couples - if you are joining together, laptops tend to work better. They are hands-free and both of you can be seen easily.
- I recommend joining the video appointment a few minutes early to test your settings.
- If you can connect to the Internet, but are having trouble joining the video appointment, I recommend testing your internet connection.
